Posted on September 10, 2010 by SD Residential Team.
On Sunday September 12th 2010, The Bayou Brothers is a sure crowd pleaser and will be the last performance for the Coronado Concert-In-The-Park series. Starting at 5pm the Bayou Brothers will rock the evening away so put on your dance shoes and prepare for a great time. I really like their sound. If you haven't been to a Concert yet, the concert will be at Spreckles Park, located on Orange Avenue between 6th and 7th Streets in the Coronado Village Community. Be sure to take some time on Sunday to stop by and boogie to a few tunes. You'll be glad you did. See you out there.... Read More »

Lil' Piggies BBQ
So good...Makes You Want to Slap Somebody
Posted on September 05, 2010 by SD Residential Team.
Yes...it's that's good but instead of slapping somebody as their tagline suggests I just want to tell somebody that the food here is excellent. I was told about this great restaurant in Ferry Landing by a friend and he said it is some of the best BBQ in Coronado and possibly San Diego. I thought that was a bold statement considering that there are some really great BBQ restaurants in San Diego. This morning I woke up knowing that after a long bike ride around the San Diego Bay my fellow riders and I would be having lunch at Lil' Piggies. Lil' Piggies is located in Ferry Landing in the Bay Fron... Read More »

A Scenic 5 Mile Run
Posted on September 05, 2010 by SD Residential Team.
Today I completed a 5 mile run in Coronado. It was one of the most scenic experiences. I started at the west side of Coronado at Sunset Park where I began a loop. As I trotted down Ocean Boulevard toward the Hotel Del Coronado, I took in the scenery of people enjoying themselves at Coronado Beach, as well as all of the amazing Coronado Homes in the Ocean Front Neighborhood of the Coronado Real Estate Neighborhoods. I eventually made a left turn on Glorietta Boulevard, which again offered some awesome views of Glorietta Bay, Coronado Bridge, and a variety of craftsmen, colonial and contemporary... Read More »

Hit the Coronado Golf Range
Practice Your Three Knuckle Baby Fade
Posted on September 05, 2010 by SD Residential Team.
The Coronado Golf Course located in the Glorietta Neighborhood is a great course but, I don't have much time to play these day so the extent of my golf outings recently end at the golf range. For me, going to the golf range and hitting a few straight balls is enough reward for me but, mostly it's a peaceful getaway. One of the ranges I enjoy most is at the Coronado Golf Course. It's small but big enough to work on your slice. Buckets only come in one size and $5 will get you about 40 balls which is a deal in my book. They also offer a key card for $100 that has a $125 value. That works out to ... Read More »

A Great Way to Experience Coronado
Paddle Boarding In Glorietta Bay
Posted on September 05, 2010 by SD Residential Team.
Coronado residents have beautiful surroundings and resources to enjoy such as the Coronado Community Center, Hotel Del Coronado, Coronado Beach, the Silver Strand and my favorite, Glorietta Bay. I met some friends today at Glorietta Bay Park for some paddle boarding. Glorietta Bay is perfect for a swim or a paddle, since it's quiet and protected due the very large “no wake zone” off the small beach in the park. Paddling into into the bay, I discovered awesome views of the Coronado Shores behind me. The grand scale of the Coronado Bridge became more apparent as I approached on the p... Read More »

Bike on the Coronado Bridge
2010 Bike the Bay
Posted on August 29, 2010 by SD Residential Team.
On Sunday, Aug. 29th 2010, hundreds of cyclists met and finished at the Embarcadero Marine Park South near the San Diego Convention Center to take a once in a lifetime opportunity to ride your bike over Coronado Bridge. The 25 mile ride started a 7am and the small group I was with signed up weeks in advance to take part in this special event that happens every year. It's important to know that the event is a ride and not a race. Since it's a ride, it really sets the tone for good conversation and a few laughs with friends that lead to a very enjoyable sunday morning. One of priviledges of taki... Read More »

Affordable Coronado Island Parking
A Quarter Goes a Long Way In Coronado
Posted on August 29, 2010 by SD Residential Team.
You know what I really like about Coronado? It's actually pretty simple. I like that a quarter will get you 1 hour of time on a parking meter. Wherever you park in Coronado it's either free or 50 cents for 2 hours to park. I realize to some people that this may not mean much but, I'm consistantly doing my best to learn about the Coronado Lifestyle and that requires me to drive from place to place. I was recently downtown and a quarter will get you 15 minutes of time. If you need to park for 4 hours in Downtown San Diego that will cost $4.00. In Coronado, that same about of time only be $1.00. ... Read More »
