30th Annual US Open Sandcastle Competition

This weekend on August 6th and 7th, the 30th Annual US Open Sandcastle Competition will take place in Imperial Beach. Imperial Beach is located just north of the Silver Strand State Beach in Coronado. The event brings 300,000 visitors and hundreds of competitors to Imperial Beach every year and has grown to become a staple event for southern California. The event is made possible in large part to the Sandcastle Committee in collaboration with volunteers and Imperial Beach Residents. Each year presents an opportunity to see spectacular sand sculptures and a great way to inspire your creative spirit.
