Coronado Ferry
Easy and Convenient Transportation

Yesterday a friend and I biked the Bayshore Bikeway. We started in the East Village in Downtown San Diego and worked our way south around San Diego Bay. We eventually traveled our way back north on the Coronado side of the bay along the Silver Strand. Once we arrived to Coronado's Ferry Landing we quickly jumped on the ferry, slid our bikes in the very convenient bike rack and traveled back to the Broadway Pier in Downtown San Diego. I usually drive back and forth over the Coronado Bridge but, while I was on the ferry I couldn't stop thinking about how easy and convenient the ferry was. The trip is about 25 minutes and we completely enjoyed the view and the sun during our journey. Can you imagine how convenient the ferry would be for holidays and special events? Coronado Home and Condo owners utilize the ferry for San Diego Padre games, special events or just to spend a day downtown without having to drive back. It's a great way avoid traffic! The cost is $3.75 for adults and children 3 and under are free. Also, if you are a commuter and looking for an alternative to your current transportation plan, you can ride the ferry for free. Here is a link to the harbor excursion's schedule so you have jump start on your ferry ride across the bay.
