The children that reside in Coronado have the very fortunate opportunity to recieve an education in one of the top ranked school districts in the country. The Coronado Unified School District recieved a 10 out of 10 rating by GreatSchools.org. Their are 2 elementary schools, 1 middle school and 1 high school that make up the Coronado Unified School District. Coronado High School ranks a 10 out of 10 for its excellent teachers, strong principal, school leadership, challenging academic programs, API testing results and is also a Blue Ribbon Award recipient from 2006 to 2009. Coronado Middle School recieved a 9 out of 10 rating which is due in large part to the leadership by the principal, teacher quality, parent involvement as well as their strong API scores. The 2 Coronado Island elementary schools are Coronado Village Elementary School and Silver Strand Elementary School. Coronado Village recieved a 10 out of 10 for their excellent teachers, challenging academic programs, parent involvement and spectacular API scores. Silver Strand Elementary Schools recieved a 9 out of 10, once again, for principal leadership, teacher quality, parent involvement, challenging academic programs and great API scores.
