The people over at Walkscore.com have done an absolutely great job of bringing value to your home by determining how "walkable" your home is. The score is based on a 1-100 scale with 100 being the top score. Walkscore.com has been adopted by the San Diego Multiple Listing System that be easily acquired for any home. In addition, it's very easy for you to simply plug in your home address and find your score. The score is based on the number of community resources that are in walking distance such as a grocery store, school, library, shops, public transportation, etc. A study just released showed that one point of walk score is worth up $3000 for your home. So, if a new structure is going up in your immediate surroundings that will bring value to the community it may of some interest to track your home's walk score. This is also true for any Coronado Home or Coronado condo you may be interested in. The walk score for Coronado, CA is 89 which means is easy to get where you need to go for those who own a piece of Coronado Island Real Estate.
