Coronado Central Beach
Ranked #3 in the Nation in 2010
A mile and a half beach that runs from Dog Beach at the northern end to the Coronado Shores to the south. Restrooms and showers are available for all visitors and free parking can be found along Ocean Blvd. Seen from the air, the dune-like hills adjacent to the Hotel Del Coronado spell out CORONADO.
Glorietta Bay Beach
Find a spot and enjoy the bonfire
This beach is located is one of many benefits of the Glorietta Bay Park. The park is located the south side of the island adjacent to Coronado Recreation Center. Watch the boats travel through bay, gaze at the Coronado Bridge and just relax. The facilities include restrooms, fire rings, picnic tables, and a large grass lawn. The park opens at 5 am and closes at 11pm. Parking is free.
Silver Stand State Beach
A Spectacular Family Beach
This is beach is south of the Hotel Del Coronado and accommodates all beach goers. The amenities include fire rings, lifeguards, restrooms as well as showers. This is the only beach accessible to RV campers. Be sure to plan appropriately as hours of the beach are seasonal.
Ferry Landing Marketplace Beach
Views of the Downtown Skyline
This a small area of beach is incorporated in marketplace and the ferry pier. The beach offers a absolutely spectacular view of downtown San Diego. It’s a great place to eat lunch and is also a prime spot for watching the RedBull Air Races, Fireworks and the annual Holiday Boat Parade.
